El expresidente de la República y presidente del opositor partido Fuerza del Pueblo, Leonel Fernández, se sumó este miércoles al debate nacional sobre la desgravación de los aranceles al arroz estadounidense, dispuesta por decreto por el Gobierno dominicano.
Fernández propuso renegociar las condiciones del Tratado de Libre Comercio entre República Dominicana, Centroamérica y Estados Unidos (DR-Cafta), al considerar que la entrada del cereal estadounidense libre de aranceles podría arruinar a los productores nacionales.
